Theatre on the Ridge is a professional not-for-profit theatre company based in Port Perry, Ontario, captivating Durham Region audiences since its founding in 2013 by Joan Etienne and Carey Nicholson.

Their debut production, Vimy by Vern Thiessen, launched in Port Perry, followed by incorporation in 2014 and charitable status in 2019.

They produce repertory summer festivals at Scugog Shores Museum Village, youth programs like Summer Stages Camps and Durham Minifest, educational tours reaching 3,500+ students, and adaptive COVID-era outdoor shows.

Funding from Ontario Trillium Foundation and partners supports emerging artists, seniors’ programs, First Nations youth initiatives, and community storytelling on local history and Lake Scugog stewardship
