North Durham Chamber of Commerce Exclusive Partner Event with DRPS to Help Reduce Front-Store Vandalism in North Durham. 

Smart design makes safer communities. CPTED uses the built environment to reduce crime and promote a sense of security — creating spaces that look cared for, feel inviting, and discourage unwanted activity.

Come to our online meeting with DRPS and the Chamber and learn about:

• How to create clear sightlines for visibility and safety
• How to deter intruders using strategy landscaping and entry points 
• How to design your brick and mortar for territorial reinforcement and community stewardship
• How to send the message of a well-protected and well-cared-for space.

Together, these principles turn environments into defensible spaces where safety, community, and design work hand in hand.
