About

Mr. Radon® is a Canadian leader in radon measurement, mitigation, and prevention services, with roots dating back to 2005. Founded by Bob and Maureen Wood, the company was established to address a critical gap in Ontario when radon testing identified elevated levels but no qualified mitigation services were available to reduce them.

Trained in the United States with guidance supported by Health Canada, Mr. Radon® helped pioneer the radon industry in Canada. As public awareness grew following Health Canada’s reduction of the recommended action level and national radon surveys, the company became instrumental in advancing professional standards across the country.

Mr. Radon® played a key role in the creation of the Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (CARST) and the Canadian National Radon Protection Program (C-NRPP), contributing to industry education, certification standards, examinations, and operational guidelines. The company has also been involved in advocacy efforts related to radon testing requirements and holds a North American patent for a tamper-resistant radon device housing.

Originally focused on existing residential homes, Mr. Radon® now provides radon mitigation and prevention systems for new construction, townhomes, condominiums, and large-scale commercial and industrial properties including schools, office buildings, banks, and shopping centres. The company has further expanded its expertise to address additional soil gases such as methane and VOCs.
