Scugog Lake Stewards is a registered charitable volunteer organization dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing Lake Scugog and its watershed. Founded in 2003, the group works through research, community projects, education, and stewardship to address environmental challenges such as water quality, invasive species, shoreline erosion, and stormwater impacts. The Stewards partner with local governments, universities, conservation authorities, and Indigenous communities to advance science‑based solutions and engage residents in meaningful actions. They conduct monitoring, support large‑scale initiatives like the Lake Scugog Enhancement Project, and promote public awareness to ensure the long‑term health and usability of the lake for current and future generations.
